Learning from the Prophet

Assalamualaikum and Salam Ukhuwwah.

Many people read books about our last prophet, Muhammad pbuh. The books vary in their own aspects behind the stories of the Prophet. However, I really like this one written by Tariq Ramadan(grandson of as-Shahid Imam Hasan al-Banna). It is entitled The Messenger, The Meanings of The Life of Muhammad. It can be found in Borders, Waterstones and other book stores.

What attracts me most is how he arranged the selected and the most important events in the history of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh. It is also different from many books about the Prophet's seerah because, he included the message behind every event so that we can really see what and how we can apply it into our life today even though it happened 1400 years ago.

All of the ideas are also backed by al-Quran and al-Hadeeth from solid references like Sahih Bukhari and Muslim and As-Sirah an-Nabawiyyah by Ibn Hisham for the interpretation of the events that took place.
It is also good for those who are not familiar with Arabic terms because the author put the meaning for each Arabic term.

The ideas are not highly critical presented but it is still good as in gaining knowledge about the seerah and what it means to us especially the muslims today.

Besides that, click here if you want to get know this great writer of the book, Tariq Ramadan.

That's all I can share for the time being and I'm hoping to finish more books after the exams. InshaAllah.

Hope you have become interested after reading this mere sharing from me who believes that a big change comes from small contributions.

Thank you.
